Iraq Moratorium Day (#4)

Expect an announcement from me on Iraq Moratorium Day #4.

In the meantime I would be happy to hear from you if you would support my bid for the DFL (Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party) endorsement for United States Senate.

Soren!

You're ol' buddy W from Dunn's here. Last I saw you was at Al Gore's talk in July of '05. I'll be at the precinct caucus on the 5th. Maybe a blog post summarizing your platform?

Hi Warren!

My platform is the DFL platform, and I will have some initiatives that I will submit in the caucuses as platform resolutions.

I am running on attention-to-detail in the party process, so that more people will show up for caucus and convention prepared to contest for their ideas and self-representation, and so we avoid repeats of some of the problems I observed in 2006 DFL caucuses and conventions.

You remember my intense interest in biodiversity, studying it, my impulse to conserve it. I still have that. I think we need to elect more people who understand the environment, not more people who talk sweetly about insufficient solutions to the global climate change and other problems we face. The biggest cause is extensive habitat loss and modification, loss of wetlands, conversion of marginal lands to grow corn for ethanol, deforestation. Habitat preservation is important, and we can create "green collar jobs" doing environmental restoration...

We need intensive agriculture that produces healthy, human food, not extensive, petroleum-based agriculture that produces an industrial commodity and ethanol at a net loss of energy inputted into that agroecosystem.

Thanks for your comment!
